지식이 늘어날수록 우리는 본질에서 멀어졌다.
배운 정보로 사람을 구분하고, 사랑마저 정의하려 했다.
음악 역시 어느새 귀로만 판단할 수 없는 것이 되어버렸다.
‘좋은 것.’
이 단순한 말을 왜 그토록 어렵게 고민하게 되었을까.
그제야 깨달았다.
정말 중요한 것은 언제나 아주 단순했다는 것을.
우리는 손에 쥐고 있던 값비싼 꼼수들을
기꺼이 내려놓을 각오가 필요했다.
배경은 고려하지 않았다.
오직 심장으로 판단했다.
심장이 뛰는 사람,
심장이 뛰는 사랑,
심장이 뛰는 음악.
그것이 우리가 말하는 ‘좋은 것’이었다.
어떤 수식어를 덧붙여도 본질은 바뀌지 않는다.
설령 그것이 모노일지라도.

As we gained more knowledge, we drifted away from the fundamental essence.
We categorized people based on what we learned, and even tried to define love.
Music, too, became something that could no longer be judged by the ears alone.
‘Something good.’
Why did we have to think deeply about something so simple.
That was when we realized.
What truly mattered had always been very simple.
We needed the determination to willingly give up
the fancy tricks that we held on to.
We did not consider the background.
We judged solely with our hearts.
People that make your heart race,
love that makes your heart race,
music that makes your heart race.
That is what we call “something good”.
The fundamental essence does not change, no matter how it is explained.
Even if that is Mono.
